Meet Karen

Hello and welcome!
It is nice to meet you.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I hold a Master of Social Work from Rutgers University (with honors) and was selected by my professors as a top MSW student candidate in my graduating class. For my undergraduate degree, I hold a Bachelor of the Arts from Providence College. My active memberships include Phi Alpha Honors Society, National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and New Jersey Association of Women Therapists (NJAWT).

My training focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy, and EMDR. My concentration is in Adolescents and Families and I hold certification in Somatic Embodiment and Emotional Regulation which helps support trauma survivors. I also hold a course certificate from Yale University in "The Science of Well Being". I am currently enrolled in a certificate program on "Bowen Family Systems" at Rutgers University.

Licensed in New Jersey and Maine, I am able to provide services to clients in each state. Concurrently, I work with camps in Maine to create Social Emotional programs for their campers.
For fun, I enjoy master swim and strength training, watching SNL, having dinner with my family, and playing with our beloved Siberian Husky, Red.
